MAYOR BROWN KICKS OFF 21ST ANNUAL PASTOR TOURNAMENT

Tournament Features 12 Local Schools

BUFFALO—Mayor Byron Brown today hosted the pairings announcement of the 21st annual Al & Rose Pastor Memorial Basketball Tournament at City Hall. Representatives of the 12 participating schools were also in attendance.
 
This year’s tournament focuses on boys and girls basketball teams from Western New York. After the tournament, the Sportsmanship award will be presented to an athlete who most exemplifies the standards set forth by Al Pastor. 
 
The tournament is scheduled to begin December 4th, 2006 at the Daemen College Athletic Facility located at 4380 Main Street. The tournament was recently renamed in the memory of Al and Rose Pastor and is sponsored additionally in part by the Police Athletic League of Buffalo and Santora’s Phase II Pizza.
 
The following teams were invited to attend and are scheduled as follows:

GIRLS Division—5:15 p.m. City Honors vs Nardin
County Executive BOYS Division—6:45 p.m. City Honors vs O’Hara
8:15 p.m.   Niagara Catholic vs North Tonawanda
