Water / Sewer Payments

Welcome to the Division of Water managed by American Water.

The City of Buffalo will charge a 2% convenience fee on Credit Card or Debit Card payments made through this web site, (with a minimum fee of $2.00). The City of Buffalo will charge a $2.00 convenience fee if paying by check/ACH from your bank account. The fee is pursuant to the provisions of Section 3-19 of the city charter. The fee will be added automatically to each transaction.

  • To begin, please enter your account number and the numeric portion of your street address.
  • If you would like to send us your meter reading, please go to www.buffalowaterauthority.com.
  • Please set your browser to accept cookies before continuing.
  • Please complete your payment in less than 20 minutes. Otherwise, you may have to re-add these items to your cart.
  • At the current time, we accept only Visa and Master Card credit card payments, and debit card payments with the Visa or Master Card logo.

IF YOU RECEIVED A NOTICE OF INTENT TO DISCONNECT YOUR WATER SERVICE EITHER ON YOUR DOOR OR BY MAIL, YOU ARE SUBJECT TO TURN OFF AND MAY NOT PAY ON LINE AT THE CITY OF BUFFALO WEBSITE.

PLEASE CONTACT THE BILLING OFFICE AT 847-1065, IMMEDIATELY, TO MAKE YOUR CREDIT CARD PAYMENT AND STOP DISCONNECTION OF YOUR WATER SERVICE.
