Home > Leadership > Mayor > Archive Press Releases > 2008 Archives > July 2008 > City Of Buffalo And FEMA Issue New Flood Maps City Of Buffalo And FEMA Issue New Flood MapsSource/Contact Modernization of Maps will affect Cazenovia Creek and Portions of Buffalo Creek in the City of Buffalo, New York City of Buffalo officials will hold a public meeting on July 9, 2008 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Tosh-Collins Community Center, 35 Cazenovia Street in the City of Buffalo. This informational, public meeting will focus on the adoption of new flood maps issued by FEMA for Cazenovia Creek and portions of Buffalo Creek that are within the City of Buffalo. The meeting will cover changes issued by FEMA as part of the ongoing Map Modernization of Erie County, which will become effective September 26, 2008. Public Works Commissioner Steven J. Stepniak and City Engineer Peter J. Merlo will be on hand from the City of Buffalo to answer questions; written comments pertaining to the project will also be accepted.
