Puerto Rican Day Parade Niagara Square at LaSalle Park, Buffalo NY Largest Hispanic event of WNY. Parade begins on the steps of Buffalo City Hall at noon and continues north up Niagara Street to LaSalle Park. Enjoy shopping for gifts from shops along Niagara Street, great Latin American food and music. Free admission

Music Is Art Festival Albright Knox Art Gallery, 1285 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo NY The all day festival kicking off at 11 a.m. will take place outdoors (rain or shine) on the Lincoln Parkway side of the gallery on three stages featuring live music, dance and theatre performance. The event will also feature live art creation, displayed art and photography, a kids village, a not for profit row, and a DJ performance area. The Music is Art Student Battle of the Bands winners will play on the main stage, and this year the other finalists and winner of The Big Easy in Buffalo battle will also perform. Free admission

Flavors of Buffalo 2008 Harry's Harbour Place Grille 2192 Niagara Street, Buffalo NY The WNY Chapter of the American Liver Foundation proudly presents Flavors of Buffalo 2008. During the cocktail hour and silent auction each chef will offer passed hors d'oeuvres. Each chef will showcase their own unique menu and wine pairings. Flavors events lend themselves to the creativity of the chefs and their competitive nature; meals feature each chef's artistry. Each menucooked tableside--will be an experience to remember. After dinner, there will be a live auction hosted by Bert Gambini where an array of fascinating and unique offerings will go to the highest bidders. Noted musician Paul Kozlowski of Casperous Vine, will play classical guitar during cocktail hour. Price: $150 per person

Curtain Up Theatre District, Main Street between Tupper and Chippewa, Downtown Buffalo Curtain Up is the official opening of Buffalo's live theatre season and offers something for everyone with theatrical performances at over 14 participating theatres, associated events, a Gala Dinner on stage at Shea's Performing Arts Center and a community celebration featuring live entertainment on Main Street in Buffalo's Theatre District. All curtains rise at 8:30pm, post part immediately following theatrical performances, call 716-847-1410 for admission fees.
